Vices You Should Avoid In Order To Be Perfect Catholics

The Roman catholic church teaches two basic sets of virtues which are the theological and cardinal virtues.
Theological virtues are faith (A belief in the right things), Hope (Taking a positive future view that good will prevail) and charity (A concern for, and active helping of others). These virtues are collectively termed theological because they relate immediately to God.
The chief mysteries of faith which every christian is bound to know are the unity and trinity of God who will render to every man according to his works and the incarnation, death and resurrection of our savior.
There are two great precepts of charity which refer to things one should consider before giving and they are;
- Thou shalt love the lord thy God with thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with thy whole mind and with thy whole strength.
- Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
Cardinal virtues are Prudence ( care of and moderation with money), Justice (Being fair and equitable with others), Fortitude (Never giving up), and Temperance (Moderation of needed things and abstinence from things which are not needed). These are so called because they are as it were hinges on which all other moral virtues turn.
The contrary of these virtues are called vices and they are seven in number. They include Pride; an inwardly directed emotion that carries two antithetical meanings (humility), Covetousness(Liberality), Lust; a psychological force producing intense wanting or longing for an object, or circumstance fulfilling the emotion(Chastity), Anger; an emotion characterized by antagonism toward someone or something you feel has deliberately done you wrong.(Meekness), Gluttony; means over-indulgence and over-consumption(Temperance), Envy; a feeling of discontented or resentful longing aroused by someone else’s possessions, qualities, or luck.(Brotherly love), Sloth(Diligence). They are also called capital sins. Capital sins are defined as sins from which all the other sins take rise.
Its important to note that there are four sins recorded to be crying to heaven for vengeance and they include; Willful murder, The sin of Sodom, oppression in sin, Defrauding laborers of their wages.
