Key ways to Develop Better Relationships

Call on God for Help while Dealing with Others
As we improve our relationships with others, it is a kind of work that continues throughout our lives. Starting from the time we are born until the day we die, we deal with other humans. There are so many psychological, biological, spiritual and social factors that enter into us as men and women.
Moreover, the Holy Spirit illuminate us, teaching us how to interact with others in a positive ways. It is not really an easy task, but, with God in our hearts, we can also make the most of the time we have on earth with the people God has brought into our lives.
So, Pope Francis gave us some Words of Advice in one of his homilies, as he said ,“ With Christ at the center of your lives you can never be disappointed.” And as simple as this sounds, Christ Jesus can make a difference in our relationships.
As practicing Catholics, we have the profound gifts of the Church to teach us how to love others using faith as our guide.
The extra ordinary relationship we have with Christ and His Church is the initial seed that will grow into something that is great in our lives. Our relationships become more intimate when we spend time together.
In order ways, when we stop our busy lives to pray to God and rest still in his love, we can as well develop the most important relationship that will give us true peace.
Bringing closer the Mercy of God into our Human Relationships
Pope Francis also in his homily, said, “ A small bit of mercy makes the world less cold and more just.”
But, looking at it, this is true in every human relationship. When we take the time to put a smile and love to our interactions with others, God is surely present.
This is surely important because without the love of God we are empty shells missing an essential element in our lives. God is our ultimate sustainer, the One who has given us life.
We only need his love to continue to exist and bring mercy to others. Because, mercy is the gift of God himself. We can also find mercy in Christ’s sacrifice for us on the cross where he died for all of us.
As Catholics, we are gifted with Holy Eucharist, which is the Real Living Bread of Life from God. So, the gift of the Holy Spirit is for all the people of God. In that case, when we take the time to recognize the gifts God has given us, we can then, spread the love we receive to all the people we interact with.
Even our families, friends, neighbors and others will get to benefit and will get to know Christ through us.
Take the Time to React to words
Surely with God in our hearts, we can be able to make a difference in every human relationship, but it might take time. But, the time it takes is not in waiting for something perfect to happen outside of ourselves, but the time we take to react and reflect when we deal with other people.
Praying for a little moment before making a statement in a conversation is a big thing and in that little silent moment we need to wait before speaking, the Holy Spirit can enlighten us to speak words of goodness and kindness.
Most times, not saying anything at all may be all that is required to bring God to someone else and help them in their pain. Don’t not forget that, the root of any good relationships is sacrifice because sacrifice will bring our love to life and manifest it to the whole world.
